Description of the African Penguin

The length of the African penguin at maturity is about 68-70 cm, and it weighs from 2 to 5 kg. They have a broad black stripe and small black dots on their chest, arranged randomly from penguin to penguin, like human fingerprints. She has pink spots above her eyelids. Males are usually larger than females, and have larger beaks. The white color on its belly protects it from underwater predators, and the black color on the back protects it from land predators, so that it is not completely distinguished if we look at it from below or from above.

Habitat of the African penguin

African penguins live in large colonies on the rocky coasts of southwestern Africa. They can swim at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour and can travel 30 to 70 kilometers per flight. They spend the night gathered on the coast and much of the day in foraging by the water.
